We are currently recruiting a full-time Manager of Adult Outpatient Services who manages day to day functioning of the clinic coordinating with other programs, organizations and systems as appropriate.  Oversees department service delivery. Position operates in health care setting with a recovery-oriented, trauma informed system of Care.

 

  • Manages day to day functioning of the Adult OP clinic
  • Adheres to agency policies and procedures maintains agency confidentiality guidelines.
  • Collaborate with supervisor to monitor department budget
  • Collaborate with Coordinator of Internship and HR to manage internship program
  • Monitors and evaluates work performed by subordinates
  • Investigates and responds to critical incidents, processes incident reports, and implements related action plans after management review
  • Oversee department production/utilization and documentation
  • Manager will also work to develop and maintain various community-based contacts
  • Performs regular audits of clinical documentation
  • Participates in Program/Agency meetings and Performance Improvement Teams
  • Participation in management team and project change teams including reports of work completed
  • Act as liaison in and outside facility with individuals and groups who impact program activities
  • Assures compliance with quality assurance findings and recommendations
  • Promotes cultural diversity in workplace and assures client rights
  • Provides clinical treatment services in form of triage, crisis intervention, assessment, individual, group and/or family therapy, screening and planning
  • Completes all needed documentation related to clinical work.
  • Following-up to ensure linkage with support
  • Provides back up clinical coverage as needed
  • Performs related duties as required.

Job Requirements

Knowledge of and ability to apply management, professional and ethical principles; knowledge of and ability to develop strategic plans; knowledge of mental & public health policies and systems; interpersonal skills; leadership skills; analytic skills; training skills; negotiate, mediate and resolve conflicts; collaborate within agency, state and community; interpret and apply relevant state and federal laws, statutes and regulations; conduct effective meetings; establish and manage multiple priorities; plan for collection, analysis and integration of data; interpret standards, contracts and regulations; delegate authority effectively. Working knowledge of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual, and mental health field sufficient to conduct psycho-social evaluations and mental status examination of clients, make provisional diagnosis and design initial treatment plan. Knowledge of and skill in applying clinical theory, practice and techniques using individual, group and family modalities as needed to support client and assist in problem resolution. Skill in communicating effectively and sensitively with people in recovery, family members, associates and other providers in one-on-one and in writing to discuss mental health status and issues and document findings, observations and recommendations. Effectively coordinate treatment with other Agency Programs in order to provide integrated service. Skill in documenting clinical findings in Medical Record. Must be computer literate and familiar with email use. Possess organizational skills and be able to multi-task, prioritize, creatively solve problems and have excellent follow through.

A Master's degree, Connecticut State Licensure (LCSW) and two (2) years relevant experience. Also requires experience working in a Recovery-Oriented System of Care and supervisory experience.
