We are currently recruiting a DETOX TECHNICIAN for our Detox Unit to provide direct care to clients suffering with substance abuse issues. 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform admitting and charting tasks
  • Assist with bathing clients
  • Take client vital signs
  • Conduct urine testing
  • Assist clients with clothing, toiletries, and bedding
  • Distribute food and utensils in the Dining Room, monitor clients and assist in clean up after meals
  • Respond to emergencies on the unit as part of a team
  • Answer phones as needed
  • Transport clients as needed

Job Requirements

To be considered for this position, an applicant must meet the following requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • CNA certification
  • Interest in working with clients struggling with substance abuse issues, within the scope of a short-term detoxification program
  • Experience with individuals suffering with substance abuse or behavioral health issues
  • Experience with taking vital signs and basic skills in documenting in client charts
  • Knowledge of Universal Precautions, First Aid and CPR
  • Ability to shower or assist in bathing intoxicated clientsStrong candidates should also possess:
