Job Description

We are currently recruiting a full-time Admissions Coordinator who coordinates admissions to maintain full census into assigned residential/inpatient programs and obtain appropriate insurance pre-authorizations.

  • Manage census daily (Monday-Friday) for assigned residential and inpatient programs and communicate necessary information to the Assessment Center and Residential/Inpatient programs to ensure timely admissions
  • Maintain organization of wait lists and update the waitlists with in-the-moment information
  • Review referral paperwork and outreach referral source/clients for incoming referrals
  • Maintain regular, in the moment communication with residential/inpatient programs regarding open beds
  • Obtain insurance pre-authorizations and enter into Qualifacts system
  • Concurrently document all contacts and outreach attempts with clients and referral sources
  • Attendance and participation in all required departmental staff meetings and supervision including but not limited to systems feedback,       problem solving, and support for development protocols which enhance service delivery.  
  • Performs related duties as required

 

*All agency staff are required to attend all mandatory department/agency meetings and trainings*

    * A Bachelor's or Associate's degree in health or behavioral health. Equivalent experience in a community health center or behavioral health setting may be considered. Experience working in a setting attending to the needs of those in recovery from mental illness and substance use/addiction, preferably with exposure to the Residential/Inpatient treatment setting.
